Translation of the meaning

All praise belongs to Allah, who fed us and quenched our thirst and made us Muslims


Hadith/Benefit
If the meals are commenced with this Dua, then there will be no accountability of the food eaten on the Day of Qiyamat.

Bismil-lah, tawakkaltu alal-lah, wala hawla wala quwwata illa billah

Translation of the meaning

I depart with Allah's name, relying on Him. It is Allah who saves us from sins with His guidance (the ability to do so)

Hadith/Benefit
The messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, “When any one of you enters his home and mentions the Name of Allah, when he enters and when he eats, the Shaytan says, 'You have no place to stay and nothing to eat here.'
If he enters and does not mention the name of Allah when he enters, [the Shaytan] says, ‘You have a place to stay.’ If he does not mention the name of Allah when he eats, [the Shaytan says], 'You have a place to stay and something to eat.'

Bismil-lahi walajna, wabismil-lahi kharajna, wa'ala rabbina tawakkalna

Translation of the meaning

In the Name of Allah we enter , in the Name of Allah we leave , & upon our Lord we depend [then say As-Salaamu ‘Alaykum to those present]
Hadith/Benefit
Prophet (s.a.w) also said, “If a man goes out of his house and says (This Du’a) it will be said to him, 'this will take care of you, you are guided, you have what you need and you are protected.' The Shaytan will stay away from him, and another Shaytan will say to him, 'what can you do with a man who is guided, provided for and protected’.

Allah is pure, He has given control and without His power we would not have any control Without doubt we are to return to him

The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, three supplications will not be rejected (by Allah SWT)
1. The supplication of the parent for his child
2. The supplication of the one who is fasting
3. The supplication of the traveller

Narrated Abu Hurairah (r.a) The Prophet said, "Allah loves sneezing but dislikes yawning, so if anyone of you sneezes and then praises Allah, every Muslim who hears him (praising Allah) has to say Tashmit to him. But as regards yawning, it is from Satan, so if one of you yawns, he should try his best to stop it, for when anyone of you yawns, Satan laughs at him."

None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is living and does not die. In His hand is all good and He is over all things, omnipotent
